AI Content Generation System

A dual-service architecture designed to generate, store, and manage AI-enhanced content using .NET 9 and Hugging Face.

Prerequisites

  • .NET 9.0 SDK (or .NET 8.0)
  • SQL Server (LocalDB)
  • Visual Studio 2022

Configuration (User Secrets)

This project uses User Secrets to keep API keys secure and out of the source code. You must configure these keys locally to run the services.

1. Content API

Click to reveal User Secrets setup instructions

Open a terminal in the Content API project folder and run:

dotnet user-secrets init
dotnet user-secrets set "ApiSettings:ApiKey" "SecretKey123"

2. LLM Proxy API

Click to reveal User Secrets setup instructions

Open a terminal in the LLM Proxy API project folder and run:

dotnet user-secrets set "InternalApiKey" "SecretKey123"
dotnet user-secrets set "HuggingFace:ApiKey" "YOUR_HUGGING_FACE_TOKEN_HERE"

How to Run (Simultaneous Startup)

To start both services at once in Visual Studio: Right-click on the Solution in the Solution Explorer. Select Configure Startup Projects.... Select the Multiple startup projects radio button. Set the Action to Start for both Content API and LLM Proxy API. Press F5 to launch both services.

Features

Service-to-Service Security: Internal API-Key validation via headers. Resilience: Fallback logic for external AI service failures. Performance: Memory caching and database pagination. Architecture: Repository Pattern with DTO mapping.
