ATLAS:Face
Local-first, AI-augmented cognitive workspace for mastery learning, research, and deep focus.
ATLAS:Face is a desktop application engineered to make learning, studying, reflection and thinking happen all in one place
Core Capabilities
- Local-First Architecture: Your notes, flashcards, and media stay on your machine in plain Markdown and local storage. No forced account creation. Full offline capability.
- BYOK Multi-Provider AI: Direct client-side integration with OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini, Groq, OpenRouter, DeepSeek, Mistral, and local Ollama instances. You supply your own API keys. AI features are optional - the app works just without them.
- FSRS-Powered Spaced Repetition: Free Spaced Repetition Scheduler (FSRS v5) optimization to maximize long-term memory retention with minimal review fatigue.
- Cognitive Document Synthesis: Multi-source note taking with interactive PDF reader, EPUB support, YouTube video timestamping.
- Extensible Plugin Ecosystem: Manifest-driven plugin architecture supporting custom tools, thinking frameworks, and learning workflows.
- Discord Rich Presence: Shows the activity you're doing in AF, i.e. showing the video you're watching, or the book you're reading.
- Custom Themes: The app comes with 12 themes, and a custom theme builder
