Game Mode Sandbox is a frontend-only Next.js playground for trying different rule configurations of a stock market draft game. It uses fake companies, fake price history, and shared typed fixtures so multiple contributors can build in parallel against the same contract. This project intentionally has no server, no API calls, no database, no persistence, and no scoring yet.
npm install
npm run dev
npm run lint
npm run typecheck
npm run test
npm run build
All four must pass on every PR.
npm run lab
npm run lab -- --games=5000 --seed=7
Simple bots play every preset mode on the same seeds and the script prints how the rules treated them: buys, skips, rounds with nothing buyable, blocked cards, sales, auto-sells, cash left idle at the end, the spread of final values, and any stuck games. The bots live in lib/lab/strategies.ts. This is a developer tool; nothing in it is shown to players.
app/ (except app/dev), components/store/, lib/data/lib/engine/components/game/, app/dev/lib/types.ts, lib/constants.ts, lib/random.ts, lib/fixtures.tsCustom Mode lets you set every rule yourself, and the settings are shared through the URL.
