A big problem with this personalization is that people are using AI to build what they need at work. That in and of itself is not the problem, but there’s nowhere to put it. (Shameless plug for Pando https://github.com/trypando/pando, which is open source and targets this exact problem) This works…

I’ve been working on an open source project called Pando (https://github.com/trypando/pando), which is meant to help alleviate “Shadow AI” vibecoded apps in workplaces, and give employees an outlet for what they build. With that said, it’s a big project and I’m a solo maintainer right now, and as a…

A Home for Vibe Coded Apps at Work (or home) (r/coolgithubprojects)

If you vibe code at work, and like to solve your own problems, you've probably run into this: You build a useful dashboard or tool, and… now there's nowhere to put it, nowhere to share it, and it has company data so it can’t leave your laptop. IT doesn't have time to review and host every app…

I agree with many others in the thread. It’s pretty much impossible to not install apps that have “vibe coded” aspects to them now, if not completely vibe coded. We see this with Amazon/AWS boasting that a large percent of their code is now AI generated. I think with that in mind, scanning tools…

What is Pando?

Pando is a self-hosted platform for running web apps on infrastructure you control. It builds an app from a git repository or an image, runs it in containers, and puts sign-in in front of it, so you choose who can open it. See trypando.ai for what it does and who it's for.

Get started

Install Pando with the quickstart.

Documentation

On trypando.ai/docs:

In this repository:

  • docs/identity-providers.md: connecting Okta, Microsoft Entra ID, Google Workspace, Keycloak, Authentik or another provider, and SCIM.
  • docs/rootless.md: running Pando on rootless Docker or Podman on Linux.
  • docs/reference.md: running on several hosts or on Kubernetes, host policy at startup, and what an app receives from Pando.
  • CHANGELOG.md: what changed in each release, and whether you need to act.
