Vishwakarma, named after the God of Architectural Creation, is a Work-In-Progress Engineering software. It is NOT a validated or commercial software. You are free to look around and learn. This software can not open/interoperate with any commercial software generated files !

Getting Started for Developers.

If you are a user of our software, you should refer to our homepage. If you are a developer or just would like to contribute to some source code updates, start by installing the following softwares.

• Visual Studio 2026 Community Edition. Or Professional/Enterprise Edition, if your organization can afford it!

• Install git software. If you are behind a corporate proxy to access internet, you need to do proxy configuration inside git. Ask ChatGPT!

• Install "cmake" and make sure it is added to PATH. i.e. can run command line.

• Install Python programming language and make sure .py file are runnable on the system.

• Install Perl programming language and make sure it is added to PATH (required for building some external dependencies).

• Open Command prompt, navigate to a suitable folder and run command "git clone https://github.com/ramshankerji/Vishwakarma.git".

• 1st Build must be done while connected to internet, this ensures all dependencies initialize from respective sources on internet.
