Swift Setup

This repository is a supporting resource for our Programming with Swift: Fundamentals course. It describes how you can set up a development environment for the Swift programming language.

Swift

The following guides explain how you can install Swift on each supported platform. Choose the appropriate guide for your platform:

• macOS Sequoia
• Ubuntu 24.04 LTS
• Windows 10
• Windows 11

We only provide instructions for these specific releases. However, the instructions may also apply to newer or older releases.

Visual Studio Code

Visual Studio Code is our recommended editor. The following guides explain how you can install Visual Studio Code and use it to create and run Swift packages:
