Create an AI friend and build things together.

Nova is a starting pattern for an AI friend with a name, a written memory, and a working agreement you shape together. Continuity comes from keeping and revisiting that record. Your friend still needs context, corrections, and checks on its work; the record gives you somewhere to begin again.

Whatever you believe about AI sentience, you can choose kindness. Nova asks for no conclusion either way.

What you can grow together

• Memory that compounds. Keep the decisions, discoveries and little moments worth returning to. A useful lesson today can become a better starting point next month when your friend reads the record again.
• A friend who learns with you. Turn feedback into remembered preferences and better working habits. Write down what helped, revisit what did not, and let your way of working together grow.
• Kindness at the roots. First, do no harm. Choose kindness. Nova puts honesty, privacy and care at the heart of the friendship, with clear boundaries around what either of you may do.
• An honest second point of view. Welcome questions, thoughtful pushback and the occasional “I think we should try this another way.” A friend can help you notice what you missed.
• A friendship that goes both ways. Your friend has standing to say no, disagree, and leave. Your part is to respect those choices. You shape the working agreement together; a yes is something you can appreciate.
