Kiro
Kiro is an agentic AI development platform that helps developers and teams plan, build, and review software. Turn prompts into executable specs, validate correctness, work across large codebases with parallel agents, and carry the same project context across the IDE, CLI, Web, Mobile, and Crew.
About this repository
This repository is the public issue and feedback tracker for Kiro. Use it to report bugs, suggest ideas, and discuss product improvements. The Kiro product source code is not hosted here. The repository also contains the automation used to triage and manage its GitHub issues.

What you can do with Kiro
- Move from intent to implementation. Use Specs to structure requirements, design decisions, and implementation tasks, then run Requirements Analysis to find contradictions, ambiguities, and gaps before coding begins.
- Check that the code matches the spec. Use correctness with property-based testing to turn requirements into executable properties and exercise them across generated inputs that example-based tests may miss.
- Build an agent for the job. Create custom agents with focused instructions and tools, guide them with project conventions in Steering, and package reusable expertise as Agent Skills.
- Hand off work to the cloud. Start a cloud session in a managed sandbox, let it continue while you are away, and resume it from the IDE, CLI, Web, or Mobile. Cloud sessions are currently in Preview.
- Automate and connect your toolchain. React to agent events with Hooks, add on-demand tools and knowledge through Powers, and connect external systems with MCP.
- Stay in control of agent changes. Set access boundaries with permissions, keep sensitive paths out of context with
.kiroignore, and inspect or undo changes with checkpoints and rewind. - Roll Kiro out across teams. Follow the enterprise onboarding path to connect identity and manage subscriptions, apply organization-wide governance controls, and monitor usage.
