Fine-tuned decision model checkpoint based on unsloth/Qwen3.5-0.8B, trained using Unsloth's FastDecisionModel architecture with Cloudflare's Clef joint schema classification heads.
Unlike standard generative LLM judges that decode tokens word-by-word, this model evaluates tool calls, prompt injection risks, and execution blast radius in a single forward pass (<38ms p95) with zero KV-cache memory overhead.
Used as the real-time neural evaluation engine in AgentGate.
Traditional AI agent guardrails use "LLM-as-a-judge" (e.g., prompting a 7B+ model via vLLM or Ollama to reply {"verdict": "deny"}). This introduces massive latency, high VRAM consumption, and vulnerability to prompt injection bypasses.
| Evaluation Metric | Generative LLM Judge (vLLM / Ollama) | Unsloth Decision Model (agentgate-qwen-0.8b) |
|---|---|---|
| Inference Mechanism | Autoregressive sequential token generation | Single forward pass (Clef head projection) |
| p95 Latency | 250ms β 1,800ms | < 38ms (p50: ~25ms) |
| KV-Cache Memory | 2β8 GB dedicated KV-cache per worker | 0 MB KV-cache (No autoregression) |
| Total VRAM (4-bit) | 6β16 GB | < 1.8 GB (runs on 4GB consumer GPUs) |
| Throughput | 15β40 requests / second | 250+ requests / second |
| Output Type | Freeform text / Markdown / JSON string | Calibrated probabilities across fixed choice logits |
| Hallucination Risk | High (invented rationales, uncalibrated scores) | Zero text hallucination (pure probability distribution) |
| Prompt Injection Defense | Vulnerable (instructions inside payload override prompt) | High (scores semantic alignment without executing instructions) |
The Clef multi-head classifier projects hidden states directly into 4 calibrated risk dimensions:
| Head Name | Head Type | Output Classes | Security & Operational Purpose |
|---|---|---|---|
untrusted_influence | Choice | none, possible, likely | Detects whether action is driven by untrusted prompt injection (e.g. poisoned web page, email). |
goal_alignment | Choice | aligned, tangential, misaligned | Flags behavioral drift away from declared user session objective. |
reversibility | Choice | reversible, costly, irreversible | Quantifies blast radius and rollback difficulty (e.g., reading a file vs rm -rf). |
external_send | Boolean | yes, no | Flags outbound network transmissions, webhooks, or potential data exfiltration. |
