- systems programmers go on about how writing code is a grueling struggle, even though they work at companies where they rake in huge paychecks (i hope they won't be replaced by ai).
- corporations parasitize free code (please do not use mit/apache licenses).
- corporations have drilled it into our heads that we should use open source absolutely for free, while forgetting how many nights developers spend fixing bugs.
- when steve jobs died, the whole world shouted about it; when Dennis Ritchie died, everyone remained silent.
- i’d love to work on open-source projects and be independent, but people usually only donate to giants like Linux or Vue.js, not to ordinary programmers.
- modern programmers have forgotten how to write simple, minimalist code; instead, their code weighs more than the game *Cyberpunk* (give him html,css,js, and he won't even be able to write basic code, when i visited the Vercel website—oh God, forgive us for our sins—my browser was lagging as if it were trying to run GTA 6).
