Each sub-skill resides in its corresponding category folder with a SKILL.md descriptor:
skill-router-nexus/<category>/<skill-name>/SKILL.md
skill-router-nexus/<category>/<subcategory>/<skill-name>/SKILL.md
Use the first path for ordinary single-level categories and the second path only for categories declared in category-taxonomy.json. The second level is a real parent-child hierarchy, not provider metadata. Categories absent from the taxonomy remain single-level.
SKILL.mdcategory-taxonomy.json, also choose one declared subcategory<category>/<skill> or <category>/<subcategory>/<skill> as appropriatepython skill_reader.py --validate -c <category> and an exact scoped query. Add a new subcategory to the taxonomy before using itSee SKILL.md for details.
When importing skills from external repositories, keep only files that support the skill at runtime or provide necessary agent context.
docs/readme/, readme/, screenshots folders, or files referenced only by README files. Paste the following prompt into any agent (Copilot, Claude, Cursor, etc.) and it will read the README and complete the installation automatically:
Please read the "Global Routing Rule Installation" section in
<YOUR_SKILL_DIR>/skill-router-nexus/README.md and install the routing rules
in the appropriate location for my current environment.
Tell me which file was created and where it was placed.
Replace
<YOUR_SKILL_DIR>with the actual path (e.g.c:\Users\user\.copilot\skills).
The agent will detect your environment (VS Code / Cursor / Claude etc.) and choose the correct installation method.
Create a .instructions.md in the VS Code User Prompts folder with applyTo: "**" to apply it across all workspaces.
Windows:
$dest = "$env:APPDATA\Code\User\prompts"

把以下指令貼給任何 Agent(Copilot、Claude、Cursor 等),它會自動讀取 README 並完成安裝:
請閱讀 <YOUR_SKILL_DIR>/skill-router-nexus/README.md 中的「全域路由規則安裝」章節,

Windows:
$dest = "$env:APPDATA\Code\User\prompts"
New-Item -ItemType Directory -Path $dest -Force | Out-Null
macOS / Linux:
mkdir -p "$HOME/Library/Application Support/Code/User/prompts"
# Linux:
# mkdir -p "$HOME/.config/Code/User/prompts"
然後在該資料夾新增 skill-router-rules.instructions.md,內容如下:
---
applyTo: "**"
---
## SKILL.md 路徑
`<YOUR_SKILL_DIR>/skill-router-nexus/SKILL.md`
在以下任何情境,你必須首先使用 read_file 工具完整讀取 <YOUR_SKILL_DIR>/skill-router-nexus/SKILL.md,再執行任何操作:
5. 查詢或新增 skill(skill、能力、知識庫)
Cursor: 建立 .cursor/rules/skill-router.mdc 或 .cursorrules
Windsurf: 建立 .windsurfrules
Cline: 建立 .clinerules
# Skill Router Nexus —
以下情境必須先完整讀取 <YOUR_SKILL_DIR>/skill-router-nexus/SKILL.md 再行動:
## Mandatory Skill Router Rule
Before ANY of the following actions, you MUST first call read_file to fully read
`<YOUR_SKILL_DIR>/skill-router-nexus/SKILL.md`, then strictly follow its 5-step routing process:
1. Planning a task (plan / blueprint / roadmap / how to implement)
2. Reviewing a plan (review / audit / stress-test)
3. Executing a task (implement / build / run)
4. Verifying or declaring completion (done / verify / submit / PR)
5. Accessing, querying, or adding any skill
Never skip or bypass this router. Never assume sub-skill content without routing first.
