NixOS Foundation

The NixOS Foundation is a legal entity serving as an interface between the Nix community and external matters, such a legals, financials, administration, partnerships and co. The NixOS Foundation is operated by the members of the NixOS Foundation board. See the board page for overall responsibilities and current members.

These are the official by-laws:

• the Dutch version is the one filed with the Kamer Van Koophandel (KvK) and is the authoritative version
• the English version is a translation done by a lawyer

NixOS Foundation Purpose

Taken from the by-laws:

Develop, propagate, and promote the adoption of a purely functional software deployment model and to support open-source projects that implement that model, as well as other activities that relate to, pertain to, and/or can be conducive to the foregoing in the broadest sense.
